I am Rakesh Ranjan Singh, a resident of Ranchi,Jharkhand in India. Ranchi is capital of Jhrakhand and my birth place. I have spent my childhood and have completed(successfully?) schooling from D.A.V Jawahar vidhya mandir . After completing my schooling, I persued my education for Computer science Engineering in Banaglore. It was the best phase of my life(1999-2003). Only two things to worry about, managing money till the end of the month & studying(?? not really :) ) .  Just score well in exams and nobody really cares what you do for the entire semester.

After completing engineering, by God's grace, got an opportunity(campus recruitement)  to join Itreya technologies. Initial phase of career was really tough but that provided a strong foundation to my professional life. After 1.5years, I started looking for a change to see the other part of the industry.During 1month of job search, got 3 offers, 1 rejection :( . Finally, decided to join HCL Technologies as MTS . I really had no clue about the profile, called up HR thrice to confirm it was not a techsupport work :). Chennai was the joining place . During 1 month of stay in Chennai was the toughest days as far as stay was concerned. No friends, no movies,no party . It was like pillar to post, office-hotel, hotel-office :( . After a month, got an opportunity to work for Microsoft as contractor from HCL. Work location was Hyderabad.

Office live, www.officelive.com  ( fortunately this webhosting site)  is the product I had to work on . Then , it was the intial phase of the product . I had joined as SDET in the team. In two appraisal of my tenure with HCL , I have been considered as the Outstanding performer in the organization.My professional growth from MTS to Project Lead is really a satisfying note for me. This is provided me emmense sense of achievement and always boosts me to take up bigger and greater challenges.

Currently, I am working in Officelive, Redmond team and have seen all the 3 major releases of Microsoft office live .

Over my 4.5yrs of Professional experience, I have worked in all the different aspects of project or rather Product , design,depvelopment, testing , infrastructure and support phases .

Hobbies: Playing Badminton ( I mean it...) , Kite ( yes, I have flew kite in Marymoor park, hand made kite),getting new snaps of my own.
